How devsecknight.com collects, uses and protects your data, including analytics, cookies and affiliate links.

This Privacy Policy explains what information devsecknight.com ("Devsecknight", "I", "me") collects when you visit the site, why, and what choices you have. I keep data collection to a minimum.
Information I collect
Information you give me
- Email: if you email click to reveal email, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: I use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand which pages are popular and how visitors find the site. It collects things like pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and referring website. Google may set cookies for this. I do not use this data to identify you personally.
- Server logs: my hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and performance.
- Caching: the site uses LiteSpeed Cache to load faster. It does not track you.
Third-party services
Some parts of the site load content from other services, which receive your IP address when they do:

Affiliate links
The Store and some articles contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer (for example Amazon) may use cookies to attribute the sale to me, and I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those retailers handle your data under their own privacy policies.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from WordPress (only if you log in or comment), Google Analytics, and affiliate partners when you click their links. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
How long data is kept
- Comments and their metadata are kept until the comment is deleted.
- Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
- Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data I hold about you, and to object to its processing. To make a request, email click to reveal email.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
